time for a post....

I have been totally slacking on the picture taking this month, which is really weird for me, so i dont have many new, but i thought these silly pics of Kaden that my mom took were pretty dang cute! he always has us laughing!

Still loving the little chick, except we are now on number 3. yes, that is correct, Kylee stepped on the first one, dont know how the second on didnt make it. This one we have now is going strong and actually getting big. the kids love it, my goal is to make it survive, it chases them around, and now has wings and is trying to fly! we have some entertainment here.... just picture the three of us, chasing aroung a little yellow bird in our backyard and rosco growling at it. comedy! I have to capture some pictures of that for sure....maybe tomorrow!!

Is this legal?

I seriously had to ask that when i checked out, i feel i robbed the place, figuring it was too good to be true. I love coupon shopping! That is all the stuff i just bought at the grocery store for $27.01, (yes, that is 20 progresso soups and 8 boxes of cereal 4 boxes fruit roll ups, 3 brownie mixes AND everything else!) then I got a TEN dollar coupon off my next purchase which means i really only spent $17.01 on all that. it is true!! the best part..... i had to buy a pack of gum at the end because they wouldnt give me money back obviously, so actually that cost was 1.50 so i really spent just over 15.00!!! How cool is that! thanks Andrea for making shopping exciting again and saving me a LOT of dough!!

Valentines, Monster trucks and our new addition.....

I took the kids up North last weekend for two days, my cute little bro Cody gave us a paid trip up there for Christmas for the Monster truck show! so we Celebrated Valentines with Grandma and Grandpa and the uncles, getting spoiled and watching monster trucks! Kylees highlight of the weekend was big balloons and Kaden will only wear his monster truck jammies everynight if that tells you something! Thanks for the great weekend Fam!! sooo fun!

you can see how intrigued Kaden was and we show up not knowing we had FRONT row seats! talk about awesome!! Cody your the man!

....my spontaneous husband.... Nick comes home yesterday with a baby chick. that is so not like him. his new business partner I guess owns all the IFA stores, havent been there, heard its a farmer store, ayways, they have tons of baby chicks for like two dollars. food is like another dollar, so we have a new pet. in about 6 weeks we will have a hen running around our backyard, i guess were the Mckinlay Farm now, JK Nicks Sister Shelley says we can take it up to her, they have lots of them.... so in the meanwhile, my kids are in heaven with their new little "pet!!"

Have a good week!

this email was voted number one for the year, I look at it almost everyday to remind myself. it is sad, but is a definite wake up call.

..........................................................

My Mother in law Connie is such a great person. she does a lot for others. Once a year her and her husband have been going to Africa to give money and time to help help help. I wont get into details all they do, but when I think of the people there who have close to nothing, and yet are so incredibly happy, I feel guilty being a spoiled American, who takes so much for granted. We are more than incredibly blessed. I am so thankful for all I have!! ...................................................

few random thoughts...

Ok, so I have seriously had so many friends have babies in the last month, I can count at least ten on my fingers! Kaden is starting to ask when Heavenly Father will put him a little brother in mommys tummy. its so cute, i just keep telling him its up to Heavenly Father and Daddy, (whom im mostly waiting for to be ready! :) i cant say im really baby hungry when i hold others babies, it really just hits me when i have my own, then goes away when they hit about 18 months and get all crazy on me, like Kylee is doing. we had our first "tantrum" this week, and my, the attitude has hit! so crazy they can be so opinionated this early. I have been working on a digital scrapbook of her first year the last few weeks, and i just cant believe how fast that first year goes and how fast they grow up! its not fair! im not ready for a bunch of kids yet, just want a baby that stays little and lets me hold them and snuggle. I thought nursing for 14 months this time would help, but no. i just got even more attatched to it. by one it was eat fast, then jump off to play! i miss it so bad!! ANYWAYS.....
just some cute pics of when she was tiny not so long ago, yet how much she has changed how cute she has gotten, personality too! I do love this age, i could freeze her here for a while:) anyways, this is her at a month old, then pic under is a week old.

Kylee at a year...

Kylee a month ago..

so fun... all you moms with new babies, remember how fast a year goes. cuddle cuddle cuddle.

i did something ive been wanting to do for a long time just kept chickening out. chopped my hair, well five inches is all but still. feels really different, is really healthy, wont do anything now, dont know what to do with it, its pretty much all the same length. so, i did it because it needed it, it was too high maintenance, and i felt like i was spending too much time on it when i did do it, and neglcting my kids, then i felt guitly. so i just went and did it one night without thinking. im liking that its easier and takes less time to comb out when wet, and wash. well see if i dare go shorter in the near future! feels good to know that i can let go of a lot of my hair and i dont have to be so attatched to it! anyways...

just wanted to also thank my mother in law and my family for coming to see us last week! both just decided to come for no reason which was great. thanks for the fun! come again soon!!

our silly trip to the ER....

well.. this morning kaden wakes me up at 5:00 am with a horrible fever. so, I give him medicine and snuggle him back to sleep, its useless, he cant sleep too sick. so about eight we go downstairs, to get some breakfast. then i notice his finger! I freak out, it was NOT like that the night before. actually no sign of anything. Nick freaks out and thinks its a brown recluse. so i call the doc, they say go to the ER. so we do. its not, doc knows right away. "does he bite his nails?" i say yep! duh, its a cuticle infection that is really really bad. its called something really long and difficult, but just an infection. so they tell us they have to do a little surgical removal of infection. ask if we should put him to sleep and Kaden says "ill be really brave" so... they just numb both fingers and go to town! cutting under the nail under the cuticle and remove all the yuck!! Kaden was soooo good. sat there being all tough.. he had so many nurses and docs coming in saying" i heard there is a really cute boy in the ER" he got choc milk, crayons, sticker book, coloring book! spoiled! but he deserved it and hes all good now!! HOPEFULLY he learned his lesson and will stop biting!!! heres a cute pic of his being all brave!!
so if you bite your nails... STOP!!

Well, since the break-in, i have felt very creeped out, non private, could go on and on. They got away with my moms present, which consisted of a whole family picture CD and lots of pics of my kids, which will probably end up in the garbage somewhere(hopefully) but the feeling that i haven't kept my kids very secure on this blog thing is starting to scare me. one of these days something is going to happen and im going to wish i would have locked my blog a long time ago....ive shared too much on here. too many creeps out there, not worth it. So, please leave your email if you would like an invite:)

how the Grinch TRIED to steal Christmas....

Well, yes, the grinch TRIED to steal Christmas, but it just didnt happen, like the book says "you cant steal Christmas!"

Im feeling bad and guilty that every feels so dang bad for us. We are perfectly fine, a little on edge, but perfectly fine. We have learned a great lesson this year and it is to make sure our house is locked better, and that you cant buy Christmas!!

First off, everyone is wondering the whole story, yes we got robbed. we left to go up to Salt Lake the Sunday before Christmas and came back Christmas Eve to find that some idiot broke into our house and tried to take Christmas. we only lost presents under the tree to eachother and my family, presents hidden in the dressers, and all our jewelry gone. BIG deal, it can all be replaced, and they did NOT find all the kids presents that i had hidden REALLY good, thank goodness, cuz its all that matters!! we feel so incredibly blessed and lucky that it wasnt worse. They could have taken important stuff, and damaged and destroyed our house but they did not. No golf clubs missing, or family videos or important things:) just a creepy feeling left but we are getting over it, now that all our windows and glass doors have rods so no one can get in again! (thanks to dad who went to Home depot a day later to make us safe:) my family also jumped in the car that night drove in a blizzard until 5 in the morning to save our Christmas spirits, and they definetly did that! We had the BEST Christmas EVER!! you truly cant buy it, we have had more things dropped by our door with sweet cards, and so many gifts, that means so much to us that people care about us that much! what great friends, neighbors and family we have who have made this year the absolute best! THANK you THANKyou you know who you are:) we love you all so much!

the kids had no idea anything even happened, they were asleep before we even noticed and had the best year ever! so here are some pictures of them:) they were so excited Santa came to our house!! (and woke up to Grandma and Grandpa and Uncles sleeping here too:)

LittLe CiNdY LoU wHo....

well.... i cant tell you how many times a day we get stopped, both me and nick for people to say hi to "little cindy lou"... so many strangers stop to touch her little piggies and tell us that she reminds them of the little girl on the grinch, yet smaller. and then she giggles and says "bye" to them while blowing kisses and waving. doesnt matter who it is... she can put on a show....

and that she does when shes at home....
today i caught her doing the silliest things, she has quite a little personality!
first is the carseat giggle... she can make me laugh the entire way to somewhere, kaden too, and now they start feeding off eachother.

I was trying to cook dinner tonight, make cookies and hot chocolate for YW, dishes and im just letting Kylee get into whatever in the kitchen to keep her occupied. So she pulls all the pans out and all the sudden she is just giggling like crazy, i look over shes sitting on the pot. actually the strainer. she thought it was so funny. it WAS... had to be there.
not ten minutes later shes giggling again and i find her under the table playing peekaboo with rosco. just popping out and giggling soooo hard! sooo cute!
i swear i am pathetic, but i just have to keep my camera clost cuz this little girl justs keeps me laughin! she is so much fun!

We tried again..... (to get Kylee to sit on his lap at the mall.... still didnt work. its the only thing she doesnt like...

It SNOWED...crazy. its not suppose to snow here... Kaden was outside by 10 am he was so excited! so of course Kylee had to follow too, Brrr. they had a blast, you would have never knew it was 30 degrees out with their smiling faces, until I had to drag them both in cuz their noses where almost purple!! it seriously snowed here for like 8 hours straight. it was so beautiful...

sorry this post is so long and so many dang words!

on a more serious note.....
i just wanna say a few serious things. this holiday i have felt the spirit more than ever and its because of all the love and generousity of friends and mostly family. Everyone has been so wonderful to us, helping Nick survive while he tries to accomplish his dreams at this hard time... i just wanna thankyou for all your love and support. you will never know how much you mean to us and all you do. your support (you know who you are) is so much appreciated. you have no idea. its amazing how prayers are answered and miracles show up when you need them. i am so thankful this Christmas, for everything i have, mostly family. It is going to be the most memorable holiday so far... thank you thank you. I could care less about presents and money, i look at my kids and am so thankful every night that i have them and they are healthy and happy. and my perfect husband, who is trying so dang hard everyday to make a wonderful future for us. i feel so incredibly blessed. we have the best kids, best nieghborhood in the world, best callings in the church, best friends, totally best parents and family and the best lives. i dedicate these posts to our family, i know my mom cant stand a week going by without seeing these kids, and thats why i do it!! I love you all...happy holidays see you real soon!!!! x0x0x0

a little too excited...

Kaden is sooo excited this year, he is at the age now where he knows whats coming and it is so much fun! The first thing he does in the morning is grab the cholcolate christmas countdown calendar and find the right day, then he asks me to turn on all the christmas lights (even though it is light).
we had to go see Santa today, AGAIN, make sure he knew what Kaden wanted (which isnt much thank goodness) and also make ANOTHER gingerbread house, (from scratch, ill have to get a pic of that he decorated pretty much all by himself) as you will soon see. he got to be Joseph in their Joyschool "play" at the retirement home! they were of course loved! then he wanted to start helping me wrap presents. then he wanted to make cookies with sprinkles like the ones he saw at walmart. we did not get to that! anyways, point is hes really really excited and doesnt wanna stop! its so cute! i cant even begin all the times we are having to watch rudolph and frosty:)....

yesterday he spent honestly over and hour sitting at the table making this letter for santa. he told me exactly what he wanted me to write then he traced over the letters one by one with so much patience. i just had to put it on here for my mom. he will sit for hours a day now and just color, stamp and make cards with me! so fun!

Then today the funniest thing, Kylee found some funny pink flower shoes of mine, wore them around the house for at least an hour! it was so funny, she would fall and start giggling, fall again put them back on. over and over! i wish I knew how to put video on here, i will learn soon! she is getting so silly but so fun.

i love these kids.... time for more:) jk still need to talk daddy into that one:)

Pictures say a thousand words....

Kylee at the family reunion, loving the santa hat!!
...Decorating the tree....
again loving the santa hat. Kaden was all excited to decorate the tree this year, he is so excited for Christmas and for the first time really knows whats going on now! so fun!

Kylee at my moms house, ready for bed... always smiling and being adorable!

Just a few snaps after church, i do it a lot!! poor kids, always having to pose for mom! at least they like eachother now, its so dang cute!

Caught them eating apples under the table! they are little buddies! cant stop taking pics of them! is it wrong to take 500 in 3 weeks??

...The Jubilee of Trees...
Kadens favorite (and mine) was the Grinch carrying the tree in his bag, super cute!
as you can see, Kylee was not a big Santa fan! which suprised me, she isnt usually afraid of anyone. santa thought i was mean to make her sit there and cry while i got a pic!!

Our little fireman...

first off, ya i know my background is christmasy, i am usually anti christmas until thanksgiving is over, but my weekend is packed, going outta town all next week and then... well you know december, ill be lucky to post! so anyways.....

I got to take the preschool kids to the firestation today for their field trip! they were all so excited! Kaden asked me every ten minutes all morning what time it was....
They loved taking their turns sitting in the fire truck, and the grins on their faces when they saw the fireman hats they got to take home, soooo excited! a great day at Joyschool!

Kaden and his cute girlfriends!! he is a ladies man:) he thinks...

Kadens first year of soccer is over. he is so excited about his first trophy, he has slept with it at night, it sits by him when he eats, and in the car. he is so proud, and thinks he won, of course he won, every one does at age four:) he cant wait till next year!
