Christmas!!

What an eventful week! We headed up North last week to get in a little "holiday mood" with the snow and all. Lets just say it took us about an hour to get from Provo to Lehi! Crazy, we all thought we were gonna die! but we made it safe and had a great weekend full of Holiday Parties!

Kylee is my little grinner. Always smiling and happy, even though she has had a bad cold now for weeks straight.

Kaden has been begging to play in the snow, so he took full advantage of that and got Grandpa to help him make a big snowman for his first time! (i know snow deprived child) you can see that made his day, as well as throwing snow balls at everyone!



WE made it back home Sunday night really late to get ready for Christmas. Kaden was sick of hearing about Santa coming all month and it didnt seem to be happening, but finally, the morning came and the first thing out of his mouth was.... those are all for me??? I think he was overwhelmed! Thanks to my family for celebrating with us and spoiling the heck outta him too, as well as Santa, he is set for a while!! and, is asking every night if Santa is coming tonight!! wow, how do you explain another year to a 3 year old???

My baby started school!! (well my big 3 year old!) He had his first day of preschool today, and LOVED it! As you can see hes all excited with his backpack on, and a big grin. He walked right in and made friends, who also begged to be in the picture! (girlfriends of course!) I just cant believe how fast they grow! I asked Nick last night, how I could slow time down and enjoy every moment of my kids more, I guess there is no way!! dang it!


Kylee is growing fast, smiling now, and making everyday more and more fun! (and her eyelashes just keep growing yeah!!

Thank you Jenna, I stole these pictures off of her blog because believe it or not, the most horrible thing happened on the most important day. I forgot my CAMERA!!! AHH! Talk about upset and what a complete idiot I am. I never forget the camera EVER! so, thanks to Jenna and a whole lot of other people, I will probably get a whole lot of pictures given to me, thank goodness. And, my mom who is PICTURE HAPPY also, forgot hers too. so, oh well.
The Blessing went great. Nick did a fabulous job, it was so sweet and we had more than 50 people there. It was such a sweet day. Kylee and her cousin both looked beautiful. Thanks to my mom for sewing her perfect dress. I will post more pictures when I get some sent to me hopefully soon!!

My old ortho is getting ready to retire and I lost my retainer a few months ago and two teeth have moved, so I figured, what the heck, might as well make them perfect again since he did it for CHEAP! right? so dont laugh when you see me even though I look 15 again!

fun friends, and fun cousins!! What a fun weekend!

Okay, so we went out with Sarah, who has been my one of my dearest friends for about 7 years now, and her new fiance!! how excited are we for them!! we had the best time talking about dating, and marriage and kids! they are in for a treat! We had to prove that we were still romantic as them after 5 years, so we thats why the kissing pictures!! (good job sarah, we sooo approve and are soo excited for you!!)

We also got Nicks little brother (who is not littler, is that a word?) to stay with us a night while passing through town. Kaden loves his big cousin Katie and they had so much fun and are very silly together as you can see! Wish you guys lived closer to us!!


We will see a lot of you this weekend, we head up North tomorrow. Kylee is going to be blessed on Friday for anyone who would like to come. Happy Thanksgiving to EVERYONE!!

Yeah, Christmas is coming!!

We went and saw the trees tonight! so much fun with a 3 year old, who finally knows whats coming and asks for EVERYTHING!! thank goodness we can tell them the "elf" thing to make them be good!! Kaden has never been afraid of Santa, so he always jumps right on his lap.
Nicks mom came to visit today, so she got to go with us, which was fun. The trees were awesome, and Lyndi's especially :)
Everyone go see the cute 101 Dalmations one!! It wins my vote for sure!!

Halloween Pics

Our Halloween was great. We had a couple friends over to celebrate (our own little party), Kaden had a fun time trick or treating with one of his best buddies Cole. Monday night we had a fun neighborhood party, Kaden had a great time getting lots of candy with his favorite babysitter taking him around. I posted pictures of that on my new attachment under the links of "extra pics for Grandma" I had to create a seperate page, because my mom wants so many pictures it would take over my blog.
So all the Grandma's, even more pictures for you!! Helps with being so far away huh??

Today Cody showed up with a fun blanket for Kaden, of course, Lightning McQueen, cant go wrong there. He loves it as you can tell in the pictures.
Kylee is now fitting in some of her 3 month jammies, which I just barely pulled out yesterday, so glad I did because she fits in them perfect. Thought she looked pretty cute tonight.

What to blog about? Kids, kids, kids??

Well, dont you just love the moments when your kids are being so silly, but cute you just have to grab the camera and take a thousand pictures? I couldn't stop. I just love digital cameras. who said Newborns are funner to take pictures of? I find my 3 year old the cutest thing in the world! (click on picture to enlarge:)



Kylee is getting big, already over 8 pounds, and soooo much more alert, but fun. She is kinda a fussy baby, and definetly a mama girl. Hopefully she'll stay that way forever, I mean even in 15 years??? :)
Sweet Gayle came to stay with us all weekend from Fresno and we had a blast. We got some fun pictures and some fun video taken! Thanks for everything Gayle!! Miss you already!

This picture was a priceless one, for those who know, Daddy doesnt get hugs from Kaden like this everyday, being a major mama boy. But it was soooo cute!

Little Cowboy!

Kadens new toy, and how cute he was!! He got some play guns and cowboy hat from my moms sweet friends next door, the Hendersons.

We went up North to visit my Mom and see how she was doing. She is hanging in there, getting sick of being stuck to the house and lot of being in bed. But we still had a great time. Kaden played guns with Grandpa and went to the Pumpkin Patch with him!

Sleeping Beauty(s)

Thought it was a cute picture of my two sleeping babies. Kaden loves to snuggle her and still is calling her a princess all the time. I asked him if he was a princess and he said "no, Im a Prince!"
He really is a Prince Charming, (most the time). He is very protective of her, and always is making sure everyone knows its HIS little sister.
Today we got to hang out with our friends Amber and Paige. You can see he got very worn out, seeing how they jumped on the trampoline for hours!! Wish I had that energy!!
You can see, Kylee looks like she still has a little Jaundice, although shes more red than yellow, but Kaden on the other hand, well his red is just from fruit punch!! That stuff stains, anyone have ideas how to get it off? he looks like this every day now!! I guess its cute ? :)

Pretty in Purple

My Mom thinks that Kylee is changing daily and that she is missing out, so all these pictures are because she wants them. so today I decided to switch it up and put her in something rather than pink, and I think Im in love with this color on her. Nick took Kaden to church, so I seem to have some free minutes. With Kaden still taking great naps, and Kylee, well all she does is nap, I find myself still having some great free time. I know it wont last forever so I will blog, blog, blog as much as I can now!

First Foursome Photo

This week has been great. Nicks Mom and Grandma came to stay with us for a couple days. We had some great meals and a great time. Kaden got a lot of attention he needed. Thanks Connie and Afton! We just took our first family photo of the four of us. Except I just realized we forgot Rosco!!

Kaden is being the best big brother and Kylee is the perfect baby. She is now 11 days old and is the cutest thing in the world, (of course you think that of your own children!!) Cant wait for you to all meet her!

Kylee. . . One week old!

Kylee Nicole is already one week old! Time has flown. She gets more beautiful every day, and is such a sweetheart and blessing in our lives. She is the perfect baby and never cries! She is also finally done with the lights, YEAH!!

My Mom is now home already and doing ok. Well surviving at least. She is told to keep her butt in bed, well see if that happens. Thanks for all the prayers, they have worked miracles!

We are counting our blessings . . . .

This is one weekend we would like to start over, or just erase. . . It all started out with Kylee getting Jaundice and being put under the lights, which now is no big deal after what my mom has just gone through.

It all happened Saturday, after taking care of us and doing so much for us, this just had to happen. We all are wondering why. She was going to go shopping for us, and couldnt get her vehicle, which was parked on our stupid steep driveway, to reverse. The parking brake was stuck, so she ran into the house to see if Nick could help her. He ran out and had no idea the car had been put into reverse, and when he got the parking break to pop out, the car took off in reverse. He chased along side prying the wheel so it wouldnt hit the car parked in the road, not caring about his life or getting run over. For some reason he did not get hurt and got the car turned far enough to miss another vehicle by inches. We do not know how he was saved from a huge accident on his part, other than Angels were watching over him, no doubt.

As for my sweet Mother, things did not turn out on her side. Sometime during the car quickly speeding in reverse, she was knocked over about 20 feet into the road, hit her head so badly she was bleeding everywhere out the ear. We do not know exactly what happened and neither does she. I frantically heard screaming, ran out, called 911, as I tried to keep her calm and stop the bleeding. The ambulance finally came and we found ourselves in ER for a few hours, praying and hoping.



She had head trama, a fractured skull which meant she would be life flighted to LDS hospital and put in ICU. We all cried a lot last night, and prayed a lot for her.
Today she was moved into a trauma victim unit and is doing well. She actually was smiling for one second while we took her picture, only because they had just given her some major pain medicine. Yeah, finally after hours.



She is stable and getting monitored for a couple days, but is 98 percent stable that the bleeding in the brain has stopped, and the swelling. So, things have turned out ok and I am so thankful that I have not lost my dear mother.

Things like this, make you realize that life is all about family. Nothing else even matters. I feel so blessed that she will be ok, after some major recovery, and that Nick is ok and nobody else was around or in the way when it happened. It is one of those days, you wonder, can we just go back in time?? We are all being watched over.
What a week, life is so fragile and can end at any minute. Thank you mom for everything you did for us this week and we love you so much and wish we could be there taking care of you!!

Best of Buddies!

Kaden had a blast today with his best buddie, Cole. They are exactly a week apart and just love to hang out with each other. I have never seen two 3 year olds get along together so well. Today we all went fishing, or attempted to, but had no luck. I think the boys rather just throw the food into the pond instead of waiting and waiting.

Still no Kylee yet!! couple more weeks to go I guess, but everyone is guessing it will be any day, even though I dont believe it. Anyone wanna guess a date? Doctor said I am at a 4 already, but I still think I will make it till the 25th. Nick thinks it will be in the next week 1/2. ??????? Sarah, maybe even the 17th :)!!!

Labor Day?? not literally.

I was sure hoping that Labor Day, would mean for me, literally LABOR day. But that didnt happen, dang it! I guess its not time yet, still 3 weeks. and they come when they are ready I guess. We didnt do a whole lot, Im sure everyone had a better holiday, since I dont feel up to anything really.
Tonight Kaden is doing his ritual, watching Shrek, of course and snacking on cereal. His favorite movie, as me and Nick both just sit and try to enjoy it for the 200th time!!!
I took some pictures of me on crutches, but for some reason they were blurry. So I guess Ill try again tomorrow. Not that its that cute anyways. Like Jenna says, just an olive on a tooth pick, and on crutches. Doing a whole lot better though!!
If any one wants to visit, were always here. . . just waiting and waiting anxiously for Kylee. (hint hint!!! :)

Our Little Football Player!!

Casey and his friend dressed Kaden up in their football uniform, and we all got a pretty big kick out of it. It sure was cute in person, but the pictures are too! He walked around trying to see, saying, "Look Im a baseball player like Casey!" He still has the two sports mixed up!!
We were in Salt Lake all week for Nick's tournament, which he didnt do his best, but oh well, it was fun. Kaden had a great time hanging out with Grandma's, Grandpa's, Uncle Casey and his cousins. I got to relax and let my mom take good care of me, like she always does. My foot is doing a little better, I can finally step on my heel, so thats good. We have about 4 weeks left until Kylee will be joining the family! yeah!!
Thanks to my Mom (and Dad) for taking care of Kaden the last TWO weeks!! What lifesavers they are! I will put some pictures on of the Utah Open when I get some sent to me. I didnt get to watch so that was a bummer, but thanks to Nicks Dad for being his caddie! I think they both had a great time anyways!
(and yes, I will put a picture of me on crutches soon, since everyone wants one!! :) It is a pretty funny sight!

While Im sitting at home, bored as you can tell, with a broken foot, at least Kaden is having a great time at Grandpa and Grandma's house!! They took him fishing today and he caught his first fish ever. I wish I could have been there to see his face, but at least my Mom sent me some adorable pictures!! His expressions tell all. My mom said that he is such a "pretty boy" and didnt want to touch it! Takes after his dad of course cuz I sure dont mind that :)

Im such a clutz!!

Well, I think this week has topped off all the other weeks. I have learned a few lessons. One is that I have to be a lot more careful. Monday night I fell on the very last stair, and yes, I landed on the hard travertine, on my foot. Needless to say, it IS broke, and now Im big, bulky, and on crutches. I sure hope the next few weeks go by fast and now Im hoping that the baby does not come soon. I got x-rays and the doctor says it will be a month on crutches. Now, how do I chase a two year old around when I cant even walk?
Thank goodness for my wonderful mom, who was here when it happened, moving my brother Cody in for College, she has taken good care of me the last couple days, and has taken Kaden back to Bountiful for the rest of the week. Shes a sweetheart and a lifesaver.
So, other than that, life is great. I have had a lot of time to think and be thankful for a lot of things. So glad the baby is fine, i just took it out on my foot, and I have learned not to take things for granted. Thank goodness for feet and that we have them. I have much appreciation now for things I never really thought much about.
Nick is preparing for the Utah Open starting next Thursday. WE will be headed up North on Tues, so whoever wants to hang out :)

7 More Weeks to go . . . .

I finally have a day all to myself. Time to update on here, scrapbook, clean, laundry, bubble bath and even relax a little. Nick decided to give me the day off and took Kaden fishing (at a small fish farm) with his friend and little boy who is the same age. So, it has been so nice and I'm sure the boys are having a blast too!!

What a week... Kylee has dropped a little and making it very hard for me to climb up the stairs and get out of bed in the morning. Hopefully I can keep her in for a few more weeks. Kaden is getting excited, I think he realizes it is getting closer. Kaden wont stop kissing my tummy and telling me its cute. That makes me feel better!!
Here are some pictures of us, and my big belly. Everyone says I have a basketball in my shirt, even strangers! I guess thats a good thing! Can I make it another 7 weeks, and will a few more pounds fit in there??? Sure doesn't feel like it!

Our Summer So Far . . . . .

This has been a great summer with some great vacations, and great memories!! We have been to Disneyland, Puerto Penasco, Mexico with Nicks Family in June, then we headed to Lake Powell with my family a week later, and have been to Lagoon, and just back and forth for tournaments all summer!!

Kaden is getting bigger and bigger and wont stop talking!! It is so cute, he now sings, talks in great sentences, and his favorite things to do are: sticker books, get read to, swim, slip-in-slide and of course push around cars!! ( he just finished his second set of swimming lessons this week and will finally go under water, if he has to :) he is a lot braver though.)
He is very excited for his new Sister Kylee to come here soon, he thinks he gets to play with her right away, but I think he is in for a lot of suprises. He is really cute about her though, he kisses and snuggles my tummy everyday, asking when Kylee is coming out!! He makes the pregancy a whole lot better!!

Nick has been practicing golf alot, getting ready for the Utah Open this month, which he is really excited for. He also has been working hard in real estate which he got his license in March, and has been enjoying it even though it is going a lot slower than planned. He keeps a good attitude though and knows it will pay off soon. He played in the Salt Lake City Open last month and took 10th place. He has been shooting an average of 4 under par in practice, so we would all like to see him win the Utah Open Title AGAIN!! It starts Aug 25th for those who want to come watch!! :)

I am hanging in there, getting big and very pregnant looking, but surviving the heat, well trying to. I just chase Kaden around and we swim and play with friends a lot. I am enjoying scrapbooking and getting ready for another little one!! Cant wait for 8 weeks to go by!! I am due Sept. 28th, hopefully she will come just a little sooner!! Love to you all!!
