Im 27 already???? and Happy Late Fathers Day 2...

This weekend was so much fun, thanks Dad and Mom...
It all started out at Sand Hollow Lake, some birthday shopping, lunch, just hangin out, Gunlock Lake, tubing, wakeboarding, lots of sunscreen, giggles, and fun. Kaden had a blast driving the boat with Grandpa, Kylee crawled around in the sand loving life. My brother Casey snuggling with his cute girlfriend, and Cody riding the dunes with my cousin and Nick. Lots of fun!!!
I had a great birthday, 27 already. I got the greatest presents this year from everyone, thankyou, cant even list all the fun and meaningful things I was given. So glad for Family, and how special they can make you feel on that special day!!

then Fathers Day! I just love my Dad!


My Dad is the greatest. He is an example to me in many ways.
I think the first one is his devotion to our family. We come first and always have, and he will do anything to support our family and make sure we are taken care of in any way needed.
He is the hardest working person I have ever met in my ENTIRE life. I cant even begin to explain what a hard working man he is. I got the chance to paint parking lines and roads with him all through high school, and he taught me so much about life and work. He has no idea some of the lessons he has taught me. I will always be grateful for learning to like work.
He is the kind of person that can do anything he tries, and be good at it, actually a perfectionist at it. He can fix any car, any house problem, actually any problem. We tease him that we use to have to have jobs for him to do for him to come visit us, cuz he couldnt handle being bored. He is a very talented person and I really look up to him for that.
My Dad is really a fun person to be around. Kaden just LOVES it when grandpa is coming to visit. They have a very special little bond going on. My Dad has no idea how much Kaden talks about "grandpa"
I also have to admit that when my Dad is around, I always feel very "safe". theres just something about him that makes me feel that way, whether we are boating, driving, camping. If we were in a Earthquake or some terrible situation, he is the one I would want on my side.
He is a Great, Loving, spoils me rotten, honest, good man and the best Dad and Grandpa anyone could have!

I also have to tell my sweet Husband Happy Fathers Day.
I couldn't live without him. I take him for Granted every day of my life and I shouldn't. Nick is the most honest, caring, loving person I know. He is the kind of person that would never say or do anything to hurt anybody in anyway and cares about others so much. He has been working so hard for our family and our future, and although it takes time and gets frustrating, I am so proud of him and all he has accomplished. He does everything for me and our kids and I am so Thankful I could find such a perfect man to spend the rest of forever with. He is the best Father to our kids. So cute with them and loves them so much!
Thanks for all you do Sweetheart, we love you!!

My Baby thinks she's big....

So my baby is growing up, way too fast. This week had been a major stepping stone in her life....
First, she obviously learned how to crawl last week, but this week she is outta control, which was why I was not so excited about it!! she is all over, and fast! keeps falling and hitter her head on the tile, trying to pull herself up on everything SCARY!! have to watch her every move. And Kadens worst nightmare, baby sister crawling over and taking his stuff!! Never had to deal with that in his life
yet:)

Summer so far....

WE took Kylee to the beach for the first time a couple weeks ago when my mom was here, and she loved it! She just played and played with a grin on her face! She is at a fun age, loves to see everything, play with everything, taste everything!

Kaden always love the beach, I need to take him more often, but its already getting so hot here! Thanks mom for the fun week!

at first I was like "NO!" my house will be messy, I wont be able to just plop her on the floor and let her sit and play, but then shes just so dang cute and so fun! Its fun to watch them grow and learn new things! She also learned to clap this week, now that is the cutest!! (you can click on pictures to enlarge if your in Internet Explorer!

Dang cutest thing ever, couldnt help myself to not giggle during it because he said it so serious, and was really thinking about what he needed and wanted to say. I have working with him trying to get him to think about what he prays for and I guess it paid off, good thing Grandma and Grandpa are bringing the boat next week:)

My Mom......

My Mom is the greatest. Although we are really different, we are a lot alike, at least I wish we were more alike. I would love to have a lot of the qualities she has. Where do I begin....
When I think of my Mom, the first words I think of are love, service and sacrifice.

First, she is a very loving person. Loves everyone, wants to be loved by everyone, which she is cuz how can you not! She is full of happiness, love, compassion, and dedication. she will serve anyone and drop anything she might be doing, just to help someone in need. Whether it is cooking for or taking care of someone, just being a friend, listening, serving in the church, etc, the list goes on and on.

I had a friend tell me the other day, that she remembers growing up and hanging out at our house because it was so inviting, warm and loving there, and my mom was always trying to make it fun, and always had treats and games! she knows how to make things fun.

She is so strong, mentally and spiritually! Nobody stronger with a stronger testimony that I know. She has so much faith, and isnt afraid to be who she is, and has such a great personality.

Her love for kids, wow. She says shes a kid herself, and my little boy ADORES her. She has dropped everything, just to be here for him and spoils him rotten. They have a bond I cant explain. If something happened to us, in no doubt would would my mom jump to raise my kids, and they would probably turn out better with her! :)

She lives for everyone else. She really does. She has always put off having the extra money for "good things of the world" or things for herself, to be home with us kids, raise us herself. The 3 of us kids always had the nicer bedroom furniture, spoiled us rotten but not herself, just never ever thought about herself, and still doesn't. She still doesnt want a job because shes like "well how am I suppose to come and visit every week?" she would if she could. She was here a week ago, bringing down a four wheeler for me and Nick to go on a all day ride with friends, and offered to babysit just so she had an excuse to come down! I had to make her buy herself a shirt at the store that weekend, because she was spending all her money on my kids!! so incredibly unselfish!

It took me being a mom to realize the service you give and the thanks you dont usually get back. All the endless list of things moms do for 18 years and still on and on, and so giving and full of service! thank you.

Shes sooooo cute! I dont tell her enough, because I stink at that, but I love you mom, thank you for all you do, I do wish I had more of your qualities! Thank you thankyou, for being the best mom anyone could ever have!!!Only wish I could repay you! WE all love you:)

Kite Festival...

We went to the kite festival this weekend. It was sooo windy, half the kites were crashing on us while we were sitting there watching them, but the kids didnt care, they were intrigued! Kadens cheap Buzz lightyear kite, didnt quite work like planned, but Kaden is already determined to earn money for a new kite next year. Kylee just sat happy, sipping her juice, always with a smile, as long as shes outside!

ADDICTION....

I just want to scrapbook. Scrapbook scrapbook scrapbook. I really just need a laptop but thats not going to happen, sooo I just think about it until I can finally jump on the computer my one night a week I sware!! does anyone else have this problem. I wish I was as addicted to doing my dishes or playing trains :) or wouldnt it be nice if we just didnt have to sleep??

Kylee's first Easter Dress

Well, I only get one Tuesday night a week,(basketball night) for some reason I feel too guilty when Nick is home the other nights to sit on the computer. But Kaden looked very handsome in his new suit so I will get pictures of him on here soon too!

Happy Easter Tomorrow ....

Today was full of Easter fun! We started out with the neighborhood Easter Egg Hunt which of course, every child loves, then took them to see the Easter Bunny (at the mall!) Kaden thought that was great, although he wondered why the Easter Bunny wouldnt talk to him. (santa does :)
Even Kylee liked the Bunny ears as you can see! It was so cute.





Kaden had a Easter Preschool Party and came home painted like a Bunny. he got a kick out of that, until we had to SCRUB his cheeks to get it off.
Tonight we are decorating eggs, and fun stuff like that so I will Post more of that and Easter later. Happy Easter everyone!!!

Being a mom....

I love being a Mom!!


Today Kaden comes in the bathroom and says "mom can I have some hairspray so I can look handsome for preschool!" (little does he know he doesnt need that to make him handsome:)

This is from my new favorite book, "I am a mother". I could read it once a month or more. If you havent, you need to. I promise you will not put it down and when you do you will be thankful. It reminds me to enjoy my little ones every second. I have a little bit of compulsive cleaner in me and when I read this, I realize so much. stop and enjoy. This book has taught me so much!

Its a Miracle!!

Kaden loves his baby sister! Its only taken 5 months. he has pretty much ignored her this whole time. It all started 3 days ago. He walked over to her and gave her a kiss on her cheek. for NO reason. the next night he goes up to her and says "goodnight Kylee, I love you." we just sat there amazed. I almost cried. then he took that bath last night and played with her a little.
then today she was sad so he went over and started talking to her and giving her toys. later we were on the way to Costco and she started to cry, he hands her his toy he had brought for himself. I almost died of shock.

Then this picture is just barely. were all sitting around and he asks me, can I hold Kylee? Im all "nick grab my camera"
words cant say how excited I am. All I have wanted was for him to love her!!

Im addicted.....

Yep, I am like every other Mother, addicted to my kids and addicted to my camera. Its just too bad I dont have my Moms sweet camera, I would be even worse.

I woke up the other day and thought, I am going to take pictures of Kaden every time he makes me smile, laugh or giggle, no matter what he is doing because if your in good spirits, everything he does is funny. lets just say 200 pictures later... I had to sum it up in a few.

Here it goes.

We get done with breakfast and he has worked hard on a project.... he is like, "mom come here" it took serious thought on his part which parts to put on which potato head. here comes the funny part.



he says "mom that one is Daddy, that one is Grandpa, then Cowboy,(my moms neighbor, then Grandma, that one is me" lets just say he then explained why.


then bathtime. lets just say there were bubbles EVERYWHERE and not just the tub. had him giggling pretty hard while throwing bubbles at, yes, me.

one of his new favor things to do now is "go fishing" in Kylees humidifier. yes it has a aquarium front with fake fish. he will sit there for an hour with a spoon and catch them over and over.


this picture isnt funny. but now that its over what happened kinda was. the new park opened and boy we were there for it, along with 100 others. Kaden starts crying so hard every mom is running to see if its theirs. It was mine. Dont ask me how. he was an insect caught in a web. the "spider web" on the playground he had got one arm stuck under one rope, another under another, his neck and head under another, and both feet wedged in another. Poor guy has rope burn on his face, must have fallen under one and tried to get up through another hole... he was STUCK!! it actually took a minute to get him out. He looks so cute though. sad but cute.

yes. we like baths at our house. another later that night, except all 3 of us. Kaden and Kylee are actually having fun together. He sits and pours water in her fingers and toes. she loves it. they are so cute!!

just a tuesday....

Its Tuesday again, my free night to write a bunch.I havent for weeks so a lot has happened. nothing too important, just fun. We went to the PArade of Homes with my family who stayed over Presidents day, we went four wheeling on my Moms new one, and I got to ride my old YZ80! yeah, miss it! just playing, and doing the "mom things"! as you can see, Kylee is trying to sit up, falls over after about 3 seconds. Crazy I got this shot!



Rosco actually likes her!! he is cute with her most the time, when shes not grabbing and trying to eat his ear:)


I wish I could put sound on here of her giggling, the cutest thing ever and makes my day worth living! I love it!


Our new routine is feeding the ducks. Kaden loves it, as long as they dont get too close!!he asks to go like every other day!



My Limo... is what Nicks calls my new stroller. It is rather long, but AWESOME!! As you can see Kylee now thinks shes a "big girl" and has to sit up! She is in heaven though, its so cute!

and this is why we live here. It is BEAUTIFUL!! The sun is always shining, the grass is always green,(and visible) the sky is always blue, we have a gorgeous view, and a brand new park about 30 seconds from our house that is about to open in 3 DAYS!!! Kaden is soo excited we have to walk to it everyday and see if its opened yet! It is a splash park, playground, tennis, basketball, covered pavilions and all. top of the line too! I bet we will live there all day every day!

A Wonderful, Eventful Week!

Yep, there is snow here!! This picture is the mountain we look at from our house!
We were at friends for a Super Bowl "get together" I rather call it than a party, and we walked out and there was about 4 inches of snow and still falling. This was in Hurricane. We drove home on wet snowy, slippery roads, wondering where we were and if snow plows actually were available in southern Utah :)
It is beautiful here though and such a Fun Change!!

We got to drive up North Friday and come back Saturday, trying to hit the good weather. But it was worth it. One of my best friends now for almost 10 years got married! It was the same time as Hinckleys Funeral, and Salt Lake was so quiet, somber and peaceful. We couldnt believe the feeling there. It was a very spiritual day.

Thankyou Sarah and Craig for letting us be part of such a beautiful and special event in your lives. It was such a Beautiful Day! Everything was. The weather, sky, the Ceremony, the flowers, her cute shoes:) her beautiful dress, and especially just her!! She looked gorgeous as always, and they are the perfect couple! Congratulations you two, we love you!

Me and Amber took the kids to the Museum of Animals. they loved it, as you can see. For some reason Kaden wouldnt believe they were all pretend so he wouldnt get out of the stroller!! Its not like we havent been there before! It was fun.

January 2008

I had to show this picture of Kylee in her first really cute dress. Thanks to Gayle who gave it to her for Christmas, she looked so adorable. Me and my mom were thinking that she didnt have a whole lot of cute clothes right now, cuz shes in that awkward stage, too big for 3-6 month and too little for 6-9. But this dress is 6 months and I am so glad I tried it on this morning before church because she looks so adorable and she keeps growing too fast!

She was giggling so hard after church. Love this age!!

My Mom was having grandchildren withdrawals, and talked my Dad and brother into coming this weekend since she cant come alone yet. We had a short, but great time.
Good food, movies, relaxing, talking, a little shopping (my mom cant stop buying Kylee clothes:)The best part was when we took Kaden to Fiesta fun after dinner, and My brother Casey and I were playing a game with our last couple tokens. He puts it in, hits the button it drops automatically into the Jackpot hole without even bouncing, and he wins like 750 tickets. Lets just say Kaden went home with a handful of Stuff!!Fun times!! Thanks for coming to see us!!




Yes... this is Kaden wearing green sweats, a blue jacket and a red cowboy hat. Thought I would never go in public with a kid dressed like this, but like my Mom said, cant say never until you have children. Well, Kaden wouldn't stop wearing that hat all day long. I didnt want to put up a fuss when I had to run to the store, and Nick told him he looked cute, so that says it all.

Ok. . .I gave in. . . .

I just gave into the digital Scrapbooking experience. Im such a hands on kind of crafty person, I love to cut with scissors and tape flowers on paper. Lets just say me and my cousin use to spend hours and hours cutting out little things and making paper everything and have little crafty stores where we would pretend to sell all sorts of items. anyways, I love to scrapbook!! then, everything started going digital. Well, I said I would never give in, and Im not completely. But it is so hard to get out all the scrapbooking stuff, all the time, have it laying all over so your kids get into it and mess everything up. Then you have to put it away. AND you spend lots of money! (buts its sooo fun:)
Well, this is easier, not as fun, but now you can have your online scrapbooks professionally Printed!! What is this world coming to. So I have to say, this made no mess, Kylee is sitting in her bouncer chair smiling at me while I work. All I have to do is press SAVE!!! cool.

So, here it goes. I love Tuesday nights. Nick puts Kaden to bed at 8. Goes and plays basketball till eleven, and Kylee usually takes a little nap and I get some FREE time!! :) Time to Blog, Bubble Bath and relax!!
